Arsenal who went to the Etihad stadium after losing their last game against Everton with high hope went ahead in the 5th minutes when Theo Walcott's powerful shot entered the top corner of the net.
The hosts tried all they could to level up before the break, but Arsenal defense were more cautious against their much heralded opponents.
Leroy Sane netted the first goal for Manchester City in the 47th minutes in what many claimed was an offside goal before Raheem Sterling scored the winner in the 72nd minutes.
